Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Health 24 collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal information when you visit or interact with health-24.org (the “Site”). It also explains the choices and privacy rights that may be available to you.

1. Who We Are

Health 24 is an independent digital health information project and the operator of this Site. For the purposes of applicable data protection laws, Health 24 acts as the data controller for personal information processed through the Site.

Website: https://health-24.org/
Privacy contact: support@health-24.org

Privacy and data-rights requests are accepted electronically at the email address above.

2. Scope of This Policy

This Policy applies to personal information processed through the Site, including information submitted through contact forms, information contained in emails sent to us, technical information generated when the Site is accessed, cookie-consent choices, and analytics information.

This Policy does not apply to third-party websites, services, or platforms that have their own privacy policies.

  • Other information you voluntarily submit.

Please do not submit medical records, diagnoses, treatment details, identification documents, payment information, or other sensitive personal information through the contact form. Health 24 does not provide personal medical advice or emergency assistance.

3.2 Technical and Log Information

When you access the Site, our hosting, security, and technical service providers may automatically process information such as:

  • Internet Protocol address and approximate location derived from it.
  • Browser type, device type, operating system, and language settings.
  • Date and time of access.
  • Requested pages, referring pages, and basic interaction information.
  • Security, error, and diagnostic logs.

This information is used to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Site.

3.3 Analytics Information

We use Google Analytics 4 (“Google Analytics”) to understand how visitors use the Site. Depending on your location and consent choices, Google Analytics may process information such as session statistics, approximate geolocation, browser and device information, page views, engagement events, and identifiers stored in first-party analytics cookies.

Analytics cookies and non-essential analytics processing are activated only after consent where consent is required by applicable law. Health 24 does not use Google Analytics for targeted advertising, does not intentionally enable Google Signals, and does not use advertising-personalization features.

3.4 Cookie-Consent Information

We use Complianz to display the cookie banner, record consent choices, block or allow non-essential technologies based on those choices, and provide access to cookie settings. For details about the technologies detected on the Site, their purposes, providers, and retention periods, please read our Cookie Policy.

You can review or change your cookie preferences at any time by using the “Manage Consent” link available on the Site.

6. Google Analytics 4

Google Analytics is provided by Google. It helps us understand aggregate Site usage, including the number of visitors, sessions, approximate geographic distribution, device and browser categories, page views, and engagement with Site content.

We configure Google Analytics for measurement and content-improvement purposes only. We do not use the Site to serve targeted advertising, and we do not intentionally use Google Analytics advertising-personalization features or Google Signals.

Where required, Complianz prevents analytics storage until the visitor has provided the relevant consent. You can withdraw or change that consent through the Site’s cookie settings.

Google may process analytics information on servers located outside your country. Google processes data under its own terms and privacy documentation.

7. Contact Forms and Email Communications

When you submit the contact form, the information you provide is used to review and respond to your message, investigate reported errors or technical issues, handle privacy requests, and maintain a record of relevant correspondence.

We do not use contact-form information for advertising or unrelated marketing. We do not currently use CAPTCHA on the contact form. Technical anti-spam and security controls may be applied by the Site, hosting provider, or security tools.

8. Sensitive and Health Information

The Site is not designed to collect health records or other special-category personal information. Please do not submit diagnoses, medical records, laboratory results, prescriptions, treatment histories, insurance information, or emergency information through the Site.

If sensitive information is submitted without being requested, we may delete it, restrict access to it, or process only the minimum information necessary to respond, protect the Site, comply with law, or establish legal claims.

9. When We Share Personal Information

We may share personal information with service providers that help us operate the Site, including:

  • Website hosting and infrastructure providers.
  • Email and communications providers.
  • Website maintenance, backup, and security providers.
  • Cookie-consent and compliance technology providers, including Complianz.
  • Analytics providers, including Google Analytics.
  • Professional advisers or public authorities where disclosure is legally required or reasonably necessary.

Service providers may process personal information only for the relevant service or under their own legal obligations. We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising or targeted advertising.

10. International Data Transfers

Some service providers may process information in countries other than the country in which you are located. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, we rely on recognised transfer mechanisms, contractual protections, adequacy decisions, or other lawful safeguards made available by the relevant provider.

11. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including:

  • Contact-form and email enquiries: normally up to 24 months after the matter is resolved, unless a longer period is needed for legal, security, or record-keeping reasons.
  • Google Analytics data: configured for a retention period of up to 14 months for user-level and event-level data, subject to Google Analytics settings and aggregated reporting.
  • Security and technical logs: retained for the period reasonably required for security, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, and hosting operations.
  • Cookie-consent records: retained for the period necessary to apply and demonstrate consent choices, as configured through Complianz and applicable law.

Information may be retained for longer where necessary to comply with law, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.

12. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to:

  • Request access to personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Request deletion of personal information.
  • Request restriction of processing.
  • Object to certain processing, including processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Request portability of information where applicable.
  • Withdraw consent without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.
  • Lodge a complaint with a competent data protection or privacy authority.
  • Appeal a refusal of a privacy request where applicable law provides that right.

To exercise a privacy right, email support@health-24.org and describe your request. We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and protect personal information from unauthorised disclosure.

13. EEA, Switzerland, and United Kingdom Users

Where the GDPR, UK GDPR, or comparable European data protection law applies, Health 24 processes personal information under the lawful bases described in this Policy. You may contact the competent supervisory authority in your country if you believe your data protection rights have been infringed.

14. United States Privacy Disclosures

Where an applicable United States state privacy law grants you rights, you may request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of covered personal information, and may appeal certain request decisions where the law provides that right.

Health 24 does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising or targeted advertising. Because the Site does not use targeted advertising, we do not currently offer a separate advertising opt-out mechanism. Cookie and analytics preferences can be controlled through the Site’s consent settings.

15. Children’s Privacy

The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in circumstances where parental consent is required by applicable law. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, please contact us so that we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

16. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, and disclosure. No internet transmission, website, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

The Site may link to third-party websites. Health 24 does not control the privacy practices of those websites. Please review the privacy policy of any third-party site before providing personal information.

18. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the Site, our services, technology, legal requirements, or privacy practices. The current version will be published on this page. The “Last updated” date displayed on the page indicates when the Policy was most recently revised.
